Titles and overview with learning outcomes:

Module 1 - Exploring innate nature of creative process

Learning Outcomes:

• Developing perception skills
• Understanding the relationship of parts and bigger picture concept
• Confidence in the use of different artistic media i.e. drawing, painting and clay-work
• Overcoming limiting beliefs around creative abilities
• Moving from problem to solution image
• Transforming challenges into resources




Module 2 – Creative exploration in Clay
From chaos to form and form to chaos

Learning Outcomes:

• Understanding convex/concave principles in clay sculpture
And how illness manifest as gesture into clay
• Understanding the 3rd dimension
• Finding balance through bridging polarities
• Tools for developing new perspectives
• Understanding principles of metamorphosis
• Depression and using clay/case studies
• Developed intuition (this is an ongoing learning outcome through all modules)


Module 3 - Painting therapy

Learning Outcomes:

• Understanding and experiencing effects of 8 different colours on physical/emotional and mental body
• Insight into anthroposophical * approach to creative therapy-specifically painting
• Bridging polarities through painting
• Building relationship of cycles in nature to cycles of own biography and life
• Further development of perception skills
• Deepened understanding of self in relationship to pictorial expression


Module 4 – various art therapeutic approaches

Learning Outcomes:

• Insights into different creative therapeutic modalities
• Basic exploration and application of different art therapeutic approaches
• Exploring inner parts and roles within our own being through the use of imagery-establishing of resources and strengths
• The four elements of nature in relationship to our own temperaments (painting)

*A spiritual science developed by Rudolf Steiner, the meaning of the word implies understanding the wisdom of being human


Module 5 – Bringing thinking into movement (drawing)

Learning Outcomes:

• Understanding elements of drawing and the effects on physical/emotional and mental body
• Insights into therapeutic effects of working with contrast (black and white)
• Form-drawing (anthroposophical art therapeutic method) and it’s therapeutic implications for children and adults


Module 6 - Art and remedial therapy with children

Learning Outcomes:

• Deepened understanding of developmental stages in childhood
• Remedial approach and creativity
• The 12 senses and the importance of creative process in childhood and adolescence


Costs for each Module: R 3000, -
That includes the venue and basic art material costs

On some modules the material costs will be higher then others.
I’d like to supply the Art materials myself, in bulk I can get a discount and for therapeutic value I like quality of material, i.e good paper, colours etc. So there will be a slight additional cost, which you will be notified beforehand.
